The Ayes Have It!

It was a beautiful day today and I spent a lot of it in my allotment. All the photies, apart from the one of me and the bottom one and the very top one were taken on the allotment.

Since I am a committed YES voter, I much enjoyed the debate on the telly last night between Alex Salmond and Alaister Darling. It was like the second Sugar Ray/ Roberto Duran fight. Darling won the first, but was slaughtered last night. I got an email from my sister this evening. Her son is in Finland. She says the Finns cannot understand us. They got their independence 100 years ago and didn't have any oil and they did alright.

I've been reading a book called The Practical Neuroscience of the Buddha's Brain. Very good book for flatheids who don't believe in anything, or say they don't. Anyway, it says human brains are negatively biased. Fear works. But the basturns were lying in 1979 and they're still lying!!! But it's not over till it's over. If we get another Tory government in a couple of years, I want another referendum. As many as it takes!!!

I've finished the second chapter of my book on Ecuador.

Jogging

I went for a wee run round the park this evening. I did a longer jog than that two days ago. This is the most running I have done for a year since I packed it in when the leprosy reached my feet. But I did miss running and since my feet have gotten no better and no worse in the year off, well, I want to run again. There is nothing quite like running. It is the best thing for your lungs.

I put a pound into the bag I keep all the royalties in.

The photies are of the allotment and the bottom one is the rolls I made last night instead of making a loaf. Oh, the second debate between Alex Salmond and Alaister Darling is just coming on. I'm still voting yes, but I now expect the fearties to overwhelm the bravehearts. If they meditated more, the buggers wouldn't be so anxious!!!

Marie-Rex. Requiēscat In Pāce"

I met Anastasia only once, but I remember it very, very well because she was such a lovely woman. And she told me about such hard times. Maybe not such a great relationship with her dad, and a dreadful story about lying in a hospital bed, having had a very bad diagnosis and listening to some idiot husband saying he wanted a divorce because he didn't want a sick wife. And another one who broke her arms. Just look at the picture she sent me. And she had very bad illnesses, distressing ones. She told me about staying in a town in Arizona which had prisons as an industry. Thirteen prisons ... even I don't believe that. Thirteen prisons. She could do peoples' accounts. She could sew them costumes. She told me about Renaissance Fairs which I'd never heard of. She had a total knowledge of  Mary Queen of Scots. The best of north America, so she was. I think she must have passed away about a month ago. She said she was a pagan, but she did mantras. Utterly my kind of josephine. She wrote something once about how wonderful it was when Brian, her partner, asked her to marry him. We'll meet again. Don't know where. Don't know when. I would like to have an enduring connection with someone like that. I'm sure she carried her cross as well as any one could. Dearie me. Dearie, dearie me.

Whitekirk

Yesterday I visited a church called Whitekirk. I think it's near North Berwick. It seems a future pope once walked there from the coast in his bare feet to give thanks for landing safely on Scottish soil. It was snowing as well. There a boy who was really determined to get here and vote YES.

The day before that I was with Brian Wilson doing some festivalling. We saw two shows and both were good. One was Ian Smith- Unflappable, which was on at the Pleasance. A very well written show and a very talented performer. The other show was good as well, but I can't remember the performer's name!!

I'm  in waiting for someone to come and fix my central heating. This will be the third time they've tried to fix it. The boiler isn't even two years old.

Selling books!

I'm just not long back from spending a week down at the Samye Ling. I haven't been doing much blogging recently, but I thought I should say something about book sales. For some unknown reason I have sold five books this month, so far. I also sold a couple last month and a couple the month before that. I think there was about eighteen months before that when I sold bugger all. I have no idea why I have sold any books at all since I don't do much marketing, and I couldn't find my books using the kindle I've got. Anyway, I was especially pleased today that I sold a copy of In the Land of the Demon Masters. It's been sometimes downloaded when it's been free, but I don't think anyone has bought a copy before. Since it is for folk not yet fifteen, I don't know how anyone found it since the last time I looked on the computery thing for free kindle books, there was tons of porn, so I don't know if you'd want your kid to go surfing there. It's never been reviewed. I once wanted most of the first chapter read out at my funeral, but since I've been to funerals since there, there would be no time for that.
The best photies are of the lunch I had today. Also, loved the open air bordello in Lockerbie this afternoon!

Digging ground.

I haven't done any training since last week since I might have had a wee bug there. Hard to say. Could be another disease entirely, something from the sea since I've been wakening up bathed in sweat. But I felt good today and dug a big bit of allotment in celebration.

Watched the Salmond Darling debate tonight. Whatever happens with the referendum, there's still a good chance of Scotland being independent within ten years. Then we sharpen the guillotines!! Ha. ha. ha. ha. ha!

I haven't had any face to face chats since Saturday. And I haven't been drinking. (I wasn't that ill!). And the meditations are still working so onwards and upwards.

More juju!

I was up at the allotment twice today!! So sometimes I think to myself that maybe I'm not enjoying this enough. Never mind what kind of juju you could do, sometimes it would not be enjoyable standing around the Himalayas in your nightshirt. But being up the allotment is a lot better than that. Anyway, the only thing that matters is that the juju is working!!
