Some more photies from India

The trip to India seems to be having quite an effect on my meditations. I think I have now entered the heat zone. There was the bliss and now the bliss is getting heat mixed in. There are different sensations  now. Always most interesting when you feel something you've never felt before!! Of course, at the end of the day this might not be a good thing, but it's been good so far.

Some photies from India

I got back from my trip to Bodh Gaya on Friday. I'm not going back any time soon. Pestilential hell-hole, so it is. But there were some parts of the trip which were unforgettable.

The bottom two photies were of the statue in the wee cave where the Buddha spent six years practising austerities. The ones above that are of the monkeys that hung around there. Above that is a poor attempt to get a photie of the men who would carry you up to either Vulture's Peak or the buddha's cave. I can't remember which.

Above that are photies of my hotel and its environs. The very top photie is of the stupa which marks where the buddha gained enlightenment.

That's about a quarter of the photies I took. I'll upload the rest over the next couple of days.

Deity Yoga.

The first photies were taken in the Botties when I went for a constitutional yesterday. The latter were taken today when we went cycling to the reservoirs up the Pentlands. It was four hours on the bike. Because of this, I was unable to meditate much today. That's the problem with flatheids. They never want to stop to do some of the bliss.

You can be a chicken. I saw this boy at a stage hypnotist's gig and he thought he was a chicken. I cannot emanate as a deity, but in the last week once you feel a bit transcended anyway by the "channels opening", and you try to imagine yourself as a deity ... well, something interesting is going on there now.

Photies

I got accepted for a month retreat in a Zen buddhist monastery next Spring. What larks! It's in  America. The wummin asked about my attitude to work. I said I did not like it. The photies were taken over the last week.
