Weeds

The last two photies are of bolted leaks. So no leaks for the soup this year. The other photies just shows what happens if you leave your allotment for three weeks during the summer. When you come back, it's covered in weeds!!! I was shocked.
I did nothing to the onions this year. I was going to fertilise them, etc., but I forgot and they did better than they've ever done. The second early tatties are delicious. I managed to get some raspberries, but the strawberries have gone! But a large part of the stuff I planted didn't show. Usually, you get millions of turnips, but bugger all this year. Ditto with the cabbages, but I may be able to retrieve that a bit.
Today I had the kind of day I'm supposed to have. I was up and meditating shortly after nine. I Skyped my friend in Hong Kong, went up to the allotment to dig, came home and started writing my book about Ecuador.
It's great to start writing again. Wish I'd never tried to give it up in the first place. This time I'm going to try and write a funny book.
The kindle books started to sell again after an eighteen month break. Sold about five books in the last six weeks. Who knows why? The rock bottom price obviously helps!!

Even more photies of Ecuador

Strangely strangely to be back home. All my living routines have been demolished and I'll have to find a way to reconstruct them. I haven't been up before noon for the last three days and this is very weird for me. I wasn't expecting the jet lag to be noticeable really, but it's through everything.

The allotment has entirely exploded in weeds. A disgrace!! I was hoping to be there all day yesterday and today, but I can't get up in the morning! Anyway, I got some tatties out of it today and had my first boiled tattie dinner of the season.

I've been having lots of thoughts about writing. Once I can get up in the morning, everything will be fine!!

Ecuador Photies

These are some photies I took with my mobile phone camera. I have others on the camera my lovely daughter gave me, but they will come later.
Y mas!

Y mas! No, no mas!

Not quite the normal Joe.

Poisonous insisted that I go get shades, so I'm in the optician's and the boy says look up. So I looks up. No, no! he said. Look down. So I looks down. Look up now, he says. I looks up. No, no! he said. Look down. Now, just look over my head.

I asked him if it was normal to be able to roll your eyes up so that your pupils disappear, and he said it wasn't really normal. When the Zombie Apocalypse kicks off, I'll fit right in.

I went to see The Eagles with Brian Wilson on Monday in Glasgow. I sat there and closed my eyes, and probably rolled them up, so I could hear the music reverberate through the bliss. At one point everyone was standing up around me and I was sitting there with my eyes closed. And that probably didn't look all that normal. But since the ticket cost £125, I didn't care if it looked normal or not.

My auntie Kathy went out shopping today, so I didn't go to Bellshill. I went up the allotment instead, but since the daughter and her man were there, I did quite a lot of work really. I put a carpet and lino down in the hut and we erected some kind of house for plants. I took the black plastic off the mound and it seems to have done the trick. Most of the stuff in there was dead. The sparrow chicks are still alive though. Nice to have them there.
